Soup Loving Nicole The leaves that fell off of the sprouts while shaking were far better than any kale “chip” I've ever had.
Don't get me wrong, the vinegar/bacon combo was excellent on the roasted sprouts but I will be experimenting with just the leaves after this. 06/06/2019 Loved the recipe overall but I think I'll be cutting the salt back a bit next time round.
01/06/2019 I chose this recipe for the lower temperature of 350 F. It allowed the halved sprouts to be cooked a little longer without burning. Cooked for 12 minutes in preheated air fryer, tossing half way through.
I should have cooked the sprouts a bit longer but I will keep that in mind for next time. I just started air frying and still getting the hang of it.
08/27/2018 I can give it 5 stars next time should have cooked it little bit longer was my fault not recipes. 04/29/2021 Delicious, quick, and easy.
11/10/2019 Very good with the balsamic vinegar and bacon bits! Perhaps they were smaller than the sprouts in the recipe.

However, my kitchen has mostly original cabinets, which means circa 1924, when things like toaster ovens did not exist. So I didn’t have a spot for a toaster oven, or really, I wasn’t willing to sacrifice counter space for one.
I’ve lived without one, just using a traditional toaster when needed, and storing it in the pantry on the shelf when it wasn’t being used. Your food comes out with a crispy, fried-like texture and golden brown color in a fraction of the time it would take to roast, fry or bake.
I hear that things like fried chicken are amazing made in the air fryer and that it’s great for cooking frozen foods and also vegetables. All winter long, we eat lots of roasted veggies because they taste so good caramelized.
This week’s recipe is a New York Times one for Brussels sprouts with Garlic, Balsamic and Soy. All the fabulous flavors on top of air fried Brussels sprouts are a winning combo.
This recipe truly marries all the favorites: crispy Brussels sprouts, garlic, balsamic, soy and lime juice. If you must pair it with a protein, some teriyaki short ribs, grilled shrimp and some steamed rice would be great.
1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved through the stems (cut larger ones into quarters) Place Brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket; drizzle with 1 tablespoon oil and the salt.
Continue to simmer until thickened and starting to look syrupy, adjusting heat as necessary to prevent burning, 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat and whisk in 2 tablespoons oil, the lime juice and soy sauce.

02/11/2019 I followed the instructions but had to cook a smaller portion, and they came out a little burned. In another recipe for Brussels sprouts from the air fryer it said about 2 × 5 minutes on 350 degrees or 175 Celsius.
06/07/2020 Actually, after reading all the comments I also lessen the time to 10 min., @ 350. They were tender not mushy inside and crispy outside.
Next time I might cut them in half to get the flavor more throughout. Overall great recipe just watch them closely so you don't end up burning them.
02/07/2020 How to make Brussels sprouts without smelling up the house. I used a Philips Viva air fryer and found that at 7 or 8 minutes they were almost burnt.
04/24/2021 These were really easy and tasty but, like the other reviewers, I felt like they started to burn halfway through. I reduced the cook time by a few minutes and then turned off the air fryer and let them sit inside for a few more minutes to keep cooking with residual heat.
Easy to make and literally simple too! I have a Pampered Chef Hairdryer and am glad I tried cooking these at 350F (accident as I confused this recipe with another recipe).
However, my brussels sprouts took longer to cook and even after 15 min they weren't tender enough to me on the inside and seemed to be drying out like brussels sprouts chips. I think brussels sprouts are not for me using the air fryer, which is of no fault to the recipe author.
