Place the canned biscuits into the air fryer in one single layer, not touching and cook for 5-6 minutes. Pipe 1 to 2 tablespoons of jelly into each doughnut and place it on a wire rack when complete.

If making more than you eat right away, cook the biscuits in the air fryer as stated, then store until needed. When ready to eat, reheat the biscuits in an air fryer at 320 for 2 minutes, then baste with butter, roll in the sugar, and pipe jelly inside.

Feel free to mix it up and use your favorite seedless jam, like strawberry for a different flavor! You could even pipe them with vanilla pudding for a unique Boston Cream variety.

I love using sandwich bags for piping as they’re much cheaper, and we always have them around the house. They also zip closed at the top, so if you’re not a master cake piper, it will help keep the jelly inside the bag.

NOTE: You cannot use freezer style bags for this as they typically have a flat bottom and no clear corner to cut. If you do have a shorter cake tip, you can pipe half the jelly into one side, flip the donut to the other side and then pipe the other half of the jelly inside.

A Sufganiyot (Sufganiyah) is a delicious round jelly doughnut topped with powdered sugar. Once the biscuits are air fried, pipe the jelly into each Sufganiyot then baste just the top lightly with melted butter and sprinkle with powdered sugar to finish them off.

Place Grand Rolls inside the air fryer in a single layer and cook for 5-6 minutes until golden brown. Place sugar into a wide bowl with a flat bottom.

Baste butter on all sides of the donut and roll in the sugar to cover completely. Using a long cake tip, pipe 1-2 tablespoons of raspberry jelly into each donut.

If not consuming immediately, you can store the rolls after cooked. This nutrition information is based on the exact products I used in this recipe.

Brands and sizes of products could alter exact nutrition and should always be calculated independently. A traditional dessert eaten during Hanukkah, sufganiyot are light and fluffy doughnuts filled with jam.

They're usually deep-fried to honor the oil that miraculously burned in the ancient temple of Jerusalem. Thanks to the air fryer, they have all the flavor and texture of the traditional Hanukkah treat with fewer calories and grams of fat.

While these aren’t fried in oil, they are brushed with some before being cooked in the air fryer, so you can continue to honor the tradition. The Spruce Eats / Leah Marina Combine the yeast, milk, and sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer.

The Spruce Eats / Leah Marina Gradually add the rest of the flour; you may need less than the four cups. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size, then roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thickness on a floured surface.

The Spruce Eats / Leah Marina Transfer the dough to a parchment-lined baking sheet and cover with a clean towel. The Spruce Eats / Leah Marina Grease the basket of your air fryer generously with canola oil.

The Spruce Eats / Leah Marina Fry at 350 F for 5 to 6 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking. The Spruce Eats / Leah Marina Set the completed doughnuts aside and fry the remaining dough.

Pulse the strawberry jam in a food processor to make it easier to pipe. The Spruce Eats / Leah Marina Add a 1/4-inch round tip to your piping bag.

The Spruce Eats / Leah Marina Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve immediately! In a stand mixer bowl with the dough hook attachment, combine flour, sugar, salt, eggs.

Add yeast mixture and milk, mix on low until dough comes together and starts to get sticky. Knead for 4 to 5 minutes until it forms a nice smooth, elastic ball.

Place in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap and a dish towel. Let sit in a warm place until dough doubles in size, about 1 ½ to 2 hours.

Place doughnuts on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and lightly cover with plastic wrap and let sit for 15 minutes. With a toothpick make a small hole on the side of the doughnut and then with a small piping bag fit with a #3 tip filled with the jam, pipe in approximately 1 tsp of jam.

My son really loves the taste of jelly, and this is so much easier to make for breakfast, than most things. Place your biscuit dough (I needed to do it in 2 batches, as you don’t want them crowded) Set the temperature to 350 degrees F for 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, fill your food injector with the jelly (grape or another flavor). Let the biscuits cool slightly, and then inject the jelly directly into the donut.

Mix to combine and then add the egg, oil, and warm water. Place in a warm part of the room and allow the dough to rise until doubled in size, about 45 minutes.

Use a squeeze tube or piping bag to fill the doughnuts with strawberry jam. Skip the pot of hot oil and make these healthier air fryer doughnuts.

Instead of tasting like a cake, shaped like a doughnut, each of these tastes like freshly fried classic glazed doughnuts thanks to the dough still being a feasted dough. Straight from the air fryer, they'll look a little more like bagels, but everything changes once you dip them in glaze and top with rainbow sprinkles.

Giving you enough time to glaze donuts during each new batch. Editor's Note: The introduction to this recipe was updated on September 25, 2021 to include more information about the dish.

In a small, microwave-safe bowl or glass measuring cup, add milk. Add a teaspoon of sugar and stir to dissolve, then sprinkle over yeast and let sit until frothy, about 8 minutes.

In a large bowl, whisk together remaining ¼ cup sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla. Pour in yeast mixture, mix to combine, then add in dry ingredients, stirring with a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms.

Transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead until elastic and only slightly tacky, adding more flour a teaspoon at a time if needed, about 5 minutes. Form into a ball then place dough in oiled bowl and cover with a clean dish towel.

Let dough rise in a warm spot until doubled in size, about 1 hour. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease with cooking spray.

Punch down dough, then turn onto a lightly floured work surface and roll out into a ½” thick rectangle. Knead any scraps together and punch out more doughnuts or holes.
