This Chicken Legs Drumsticks recipe is easy and flavorful. This air fried chicken is very similar to JerkChicken but without the spicy heat.
It can be prepared in air fryer basket or oven style air fryers and the cook time should be the same. Truth is in the air fryer legs and thighs are the best to use because they are a bit more juicy and forgiving.
If you’ve ever tried JerkChicken and you like it but it's a bit too spicy for you then you will love this recipe. It has flavors very similar to JerkChicken like Allspice, Cinnamon and Coriander with just a touch of heat.
Then add a couple tablespoons of Olive Oil and mix with the spices to form somewhat of a paste. Once the chicken has marinated a bit we are ready to put it in the Air fryer.
I paired these AirFryerChicken Legs with Steamed Cabbage and Sweet Potato fries that I made in the Air fryer to make it more Paleo. Truth is this goes really well with my Instant Pot Vegetarian Pasta Salad.

You will also need to cook the chicken legs in the air fryer for a longer amount of time. The larger they are and the more frozen that they still are, the closer to an extra 10 minutes of air fryer time will be needed.
And please remember, the additional minutes added on to the frying time should be divided in half…. Half added to the original 13 minutes of air frying, flip your drumsticks, and the additional half added to the second 13 minutes of cook time.
I highly recommend cutting the meat off of the bone before storing it in the fridge. I would also highly recommend waiting to store the leftover meat until it cools down to room temperature.
No complaints so far, I even made some of these jerk wings to take to the beach and it was a hit with everyone, even those with discerning palates (kids). I know kids go crazy over anything wings, as long as they have dipping sauce to go with it.
