The British bakery with its delicious homemade scones, sausage rolls and of course pasties. There was the seafront that sold the doughnuts and the lollies that the kids used to go nuts for in the summer months.

Though if Dominic was reading this, he would be screaming at me that I have forgotten to mention the fish and chips! As well as this we had beautiful countryside and an endless supply of outdoor fun.

If you have ever watched Heartbeat and other popular British TV shows you would be able to relate to this. But what is probably associated the most from a food point of view is the delicious Yorkshire Puddings that are traditionally served up with an English roast beef dinner.

Also, because they are made from simple pantry items no matter where you live in the world you would be able to get the ingredients to be able to make them! I used to be heartbroken when my mum didn’t make any at Sunday dinner.

Well Yorkshire Puddings have similar ingredients to savory pancakes and is like a thick batter. Compared to a classic pancake it carries more eggs so that they can puff up and not look like flat little boring things.

A Yorkshire pudding is crispy in texture and is often served with roast beef. Essentially, they are already cooked and you are simply reheating them from frozen in the air fryer basket.

Firstly, it is fantastic for a quick preheat so that your Yorkshire puddings will rise and look good. After cooking Yorkshire puddings in the air fryer, I won’t go back to the oven version.

To cook frozen Yorkshire Puddings in the air fryer is so simple. Grab your Yorkshire puddings from the freezer and load them straight into the air fryer.

There is no need to thaw your frozen Yorkshire puddings first and it takes some prep time away when making a roast dinner. You can also mix and match these seasonings depending on how you want your breaded chicken wings to taste.

We also have a lot more air fryer recipes for you to check out and find some new ideas for planning your meals. Pour your mixture (1/2 way up your Yorkshire pudding tin) and place back in the Air Fryer and cook at 200c for 15 minutes.

My aim in using the air fryer to make Yorkshires is to ultimately come up with a simple, foolproof, repeatable method! It’s the result of so many iterations, a reasonable person might be embarrassed by the amount of failed puddings.

Again, per trying to make this recipe repeatable and scalable, these proportions of ingredient are easy to put together, no weird things like a third of an egg: When you remove the batter for cooking, I give it one last whisk as well just before using it, seriously, you can’t get enough air into this mix.

Air fried Yorkshire Puddings As simple as I wanted to make this one, there are a few steps involved. First up, you don’t want the batter sticking to your ramekins, otherwise they’re a nightmare to get out when cooked.

Next up, once the air fryer is preheated, add a tsp of oil into each ramen (leave them in the fryer basket, they will be hot) and heat in the air fryer for five minutes. Once heated up add five tablespoons of your Yorkshire mix to the ramekins.

Two ways of avoiding this scenario are first to cook the 'Yorkshires' first before the joint goes in then quickly reheat the puddings just before serving.
