One of my last trips there, I happened to pick up an old metal baking sheet for $0.50 and decided to make a cute magnetic board out of it. You can also find the thinner ones at the dollar store, which would work great in this project.

All you need to do is pick out the shade of spray paint that you like the most, and give it a nice coat. My oldest daughter came with me, and pointed out some epoxy beads in the scrapbook department.

It was the perfect size, and it just snapped right in and holds in securely with the magnetic pull. I’m sure you could also use the adhesive squares (or even duct tape since it will be on the backside and no one will see it) to attach yarn to hang it with as well.

Perfect for home decor, DIY and a wider variety of crafts! You’ll receive an email with tracking information when your order is shipped.

Some items sent directly from our suppliers may take longer, and will ship separate from the remainder of your order. Please note that Singer sewing machines cannot be shipped to Guam, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands or to military bases overseas.

Most items will give you the option to upgrade your shipping method for faster delivery. Creativity shouldn’t be complicated, so you can return items for FREE any time to our stores for a hassle-free refund with a smile.

Anyone using a metal cookie sheet or pizza sheet as a magnetic mount attach ground plane base for temporary or emergency purposes for their antennas? I know it works for 2-meters as I've done this myself in the long ago past in a pinch (I think I might have used a metal oil drip pan for catching oil drips from a car engine).

A cookie or pizza sheet works fine as a ground plane for a 70 cm or even 2 m vertical but it's a very small ground plane on 10 m or lower bands. A very large pizza sheet might be around a meter in diameter or Now, 50 cm in radius.

That's only .05 wavelengths at 30 MHz which is a tiny ground plane. The problem is finding a pizza pan or cookie sheet that is attracted to a magnet.

Good idea as long as snow and wind aren't much of a concern! Plenty of steel cookie sheets we have a bunch with a non-stick coating.

I always wanted to see if I could hack together a UHF disc one out of a small pie pan and a metal funnel. Youd be better off with a proper counterpoise (traditional use of the term) for portable use.

Our editors independently research, test, and recommend the best products; you can learn more about our review process here. Just like your stainless steel cookware, these sheets won’t rust, stain, oxidize, or pit, even if you use them for roasting tomatoes or using lemon juice as a marinade on your chicken wings.

They’re dishwasher safe, and won’t be ruined if you get aggressive with scrubbing off burned bits. Reviewers love the mirror-like finish and how easy these pans are to clean, though some report slight warping at temperatures higher than 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Reviewers praise how pretty the pan is and its resistance to warping; however, some note to make sure to thoroughly dry it after washing as they observed slight rusting when they skipped this step. For even better performance, they have rolled, encapsulated steel rims, so they won’t bend or warp in normal use, and they’ll never rust or corrode.

Since aluminum is a responsive metal, these will cool quicker when they’re out of the oven, so they’ll be ready to use faster than steel pans. Made from aluminized steel with a light-colored nonstick coating, your cookies won’t stick or over-brown on this pan.

It resists staining and keeps the steel from corroding, while the micro-textured pattern minimizes surface contact while maximizing airflow for even baking and easy cookie release. After you fall in love with this pan, you can buy more pieces of bakeware with the same features for a complete set.

Every piece has dimension markings, so you’ll know that you’ve got the right size pan for your recipe. Just note that, as some reviewers point out, the measurements are of the outside of the pans (including their sizable rims).

Larger than a typical half-sheet pan, but still able to fit in home ovens, this 15 x 21-inch baking sheet gives you more room for cookies, biscuits, and pastries. It’s also perfect for making extra-long loaves of bread that wouldn’t fit on a standard sheet.

It’s made from steel with a dark finish so it retains heat well, which keeps cookies from spreading too quickly. People love that they can cook twice as many cookies on the pan and how easy it is to clean; a few reviewers, however, report some warping at temperatures of 300 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.

All parts are oven-safe to 450 degrees, so they can be mixed and matched for baking, roasting, crisping, drying, and cooling. Sheet pan suppers are trendy right now, but not everyone wants their cauliflower cooking in chicken juices.

These pans received the best reviews for their sturdiness and resistance to rust, followed by how easy they are to clean. Final Verdict Donna Carrie is a writer and product tester for The Spruce Eats.

She's also a bread- baking expert, having written Make Ahead Bread, a cookbook detailing the process. In addition to the top baking sheets, Donna's written lists on the best cookie tools and best bread machines of the year.

This piece was edited by Bernadette Ma chard de Gramont, an LA-based writer who specializes in global food and wine content. She researches and tests a variety of cookware, bakeware, and wine tools, and interviews field experts for their insight.

Pro bakers prefer bare aluminum sheets because they are more durable, distribute heat more evenly, and cool more quickly once out of the oven, than steel ones. Heavy-gauge aluminum pans tend to heat more evenly and are sturdier and more warp-resistant than their thinner counterparts, but are also more expensive.

Nonstick pans are easier to slide food off of and clean, and because the coating is generally dark, they tend to cook more quickly, too. However, this coating tends to scratch and wear off over time, especially over consistent use at high heat, so they don't last as long as bare aluminum pans.

Magnetic sheet attaches to any steel surface, such as a car or warehouse shelving. The material is flexible and allows for easy trimming, cutting, plotting or punching.

Because it is so easy to bend, it adheres to both flat and curved surfaces. Magnetic sheet is suitable for digital printing and screen-printing.

Optionally, a special topcoat makes the magnetic sheet writable with chalk or a whiteboard pen, and is dry erasable. Our magnetic sheet is free of hazardous chemicals or heavy metals. Extrusion, rolling or injection are processing techniques of rubber bonded magnetic powder.

The standard magnetic sheet color is dark brown. Store magnetic sheet in closed packaging, horizontally at a temperature between 10 and 30 °C.

The material can be rolled up at a temperature of 20 °C to a diameter of 12 mm without breaking. Always roll magnetic sheet with the colored or adhesive side on the outside.

This will prevent creasing and cracking in the top layer. Process magnetic sheet at a temperature between 15 and 30 °C and humidity of 30% to 60%.

A 0.8 mm thick magnetic sheet has sufficient adhesion for use on cars. Moreover, this material is very flexible for a good connection to a surface that is a little convex.

With a soft clean cloth and possibly water with detergent. The strength of magnetic sheet is measured in a special test environment, perpendicular to the surface, with fixed factors such as steel thickness, steel grade and air gap.

For technical and industrial applications, it is recommended to test the adhesive force. Something went wrong: the product could not be added to your shopping cart.
