What I could not find from the posts is how do they perform with juicing cabbage and the greens (I will rarely be juicing citrus fruits and not interested in any other functionality like pasta or sausage making). Although I would like to get masticating juicer like Omega, Champion or Green star, I can't afford to pay more than $150 unless Jack Balance is terrible in juicing cabbage and the greens.

My husband uses the juicer more than me but my favorite is apple/orange/pineapple. The Jack La Lane is really easy to clean and there is almost zero fibrous material found.
(I live in Florida but your northerners can grow cabbage /collards in spring and fall. You don't need a garden, you can plant them in plastic pots (biggish ones). But...before you spend that money if I were you I'd make sure that cabbage juice agreed with your stomach/colon.
Do you have a juice bar/health store near you to try cabbage juice out? Before I got my juicer I used a blender, put cut up cabbage in with some water then used a strainer after blending to remove most fiber. I got the Jack Balance juicer, works great and isn't overpriced.
Easy to clean and big mouth for quick juicing. Cabbage juice might give you excessive gas or increase stool frequency so don't over do it.
There's lots of good research on vitamin U (found in raw cabbage, aka, S-methylmethionine) for its benefits on mucosal healing... Takes a bit of digging to find it but it is on Pub med for colitis and gastritis. And same for apple polyphenols being highly anti-inflammatory.
I'm actually trying to do a 100ml cabbage 400ml apple blend once a day for a month plus 2 cups of white tea and I might repost here on how I'm doing with it :D so far so good... And hey, if it doesn't help your colitis it'll definitely help keeping other health problems away :) lots of good chemicals in raw fruits and veg.

To address the concern if cabbage juice is good for my stomach, as I have previously mentioned on this forum many a time that my mom had pancolitis, and she did cabbage +Wheatgrass juice, she is now recovered for 17 years. As and when I visit my parents, I try this combination and it doesn't give any issues to me.
I honestly hate wheatgrass juice, its just too nauseating but I can stand cabbage juice, actually I like it, little sweet. My parents have a centrifugal juicer, and they hate it for juicing cabbage as it needs cleaning between every run.
I just started back yesterday and will continue to do it twice or three times a day for at least a few months. I have a jack balance and it works really well for fruits and veggies.
I've put whole heads of kale and Swiss chard in and get literally a teaspoon of juice. I've to scrub it out clean each time :) cabbage is no messier than other veg, just stinks like crazy...
The trick is to make a big batch and save some for the next day. To avoid making smaller batches and cleaning up each time.
Cabbage doesn't taste as nice the second day. I've stayed away from citrus for several years including lemons, limes etc., due to my colons dislike.
