Write Review Larry December 1, 2018 Recommend To A Friend: Yes Product Quality: Well Made Frequency Used: Several times per week Length of Ownership: 1 year or less Ability: Intermediate I hated stopping at a fast food place prior to work and buy a couple of breakfast sandwiches for break time a couple of hours later.

Crack up to four eggs into the container, shake them up, and pop them in the microwave for a fast homemade breakfast. You can even add your favorite toppings for a quick omelet, poach eggs, or make instant oatmeal that won't boil over.

2-cup capacity is large enough for four eggs or a packet of instant oatmeal. The lid’s vent hole releases steam while cooking.

Silicone sleeve for easy grip and heat protection. Let the vessel rest in the microwave for 1 minute before removing it.

The intended use of this product is solely for preparing eggs in the manners listed below. The silicone sleeve and lid gasket can be removed and cleaned separately.

To remove marring, use a non-bleach, all-purpose liquid or powdered cleanser that is safe for glazed surfaces in the kitchen. The lid is intended to fit loosely: Do not tightly secure it on the vessel.

Aerosol nonstick spray is not recommended; it will create a sticky residue which is difficult to clean. This guide is based on timing with large eggs in a 1200 watt microwave.

Adjust cook times to work with your microwave. Because of variations in microwaves, the bottom of the eggs can remain uncooked.

To prevent this from happening, stir the eggs as needed between cooking intervals. Tip: If you’re using water or milk, use 1 tbsp (15 mL) of liquid per egg.

Place your finger over the vent hole and shake 10 or more times. MICROWAVE on HIGH per cooking guide below, or until the eggs are no longer wet on the bottom.

Write Review Dray 1, 2019 Recommend To A Friend: Yes Product Quality: Average Frequency Used: Dozens of times Length of Ownership: 1 year or less Ability: Experienced Found my egg poacher hanging on a clearance rack and thought for the price, I'd try this gadget.

First thing I noticed is the top does not snap or click closed. Following the instructions, during my first use, there was a loud pop towards the end of the cooking time.

What happened was the top blew open and I found egg pieces all over my microwave. Since then, I've placed a rubber band on the handle and that keeps the top from flying open.

But it didn't stop the loud pop from occurring and egg pieces from coming out of the cooker. I think that for my microwave oven, I need to experiment with different cooking times and powers.

All said, the product works and the eggs do come out fully cooked. I would recommend this product to a friend with the caveat that it's not straight forward to use and requires some experimentation to get the desired results.

Not anymore this microwaveable egg poacher works like a charm. Still working on cook times to get the eggs to the consistency I like but this is a great product.

Write Review Chris July 14, 2018 Recommend To A Friend: Yes Product Quality: Well Made Frequency Used: Several times per month Length of Ownership: 1 year or less Ability: Experienced Love the idea and design of the first one so much that I picked up another for making eggs Benny for myself & husband.

Love the idea behind this thing and the way it works with a lot less clean-up and excellent results. The 2nd poacher did not have any type of latch or 'click' to close on it and presumed it was broken between manufacturer and retailer, top is floppy to handle without the snap lid.

As a man who hates to cook, I love the convenience of this egg poacher which I use at least once or twice a week. I would prefer, however, if they went back to the original design that had a little stand and latch built into the handle.

Write Review William February 13, 2018 Recommend To A Friend: Yes Product Quality: Well Made Frequency Used: Several times per week Length of Ownership: One month or less Ability: Experienced I decided to buy the Nordic Ware 2 cup egg poacher after reading other customer reviews.

I couldn’t find it available anywhere in Australia, so I bought it direct online from Nordic Ware USA and their sales and international shipping service were great. I had to do a bit of trial and error with the power settings on our microwave but now I’ve found that 1 minute at 40% power setting gives a beautifully softly poached egg.

I really have to complement Nordic Ware upon the elegant design of their little 2 cup poachers because it’s beautifully simple and works a treat. Being made of food safe plastic it obviously requires the user to have a little common sense and to avoid any rough handling of it when cleaning it.

I also travel extensively and can see this being a useful tool as an inexpensive alternative to a pricey breakfast or lunch. The eggs don't generate any extra calories either because you don't have to use cooking spray or fat of any type.

Write Review JM KraemerJanuary 24, 2015 Recommend To A Friend: Yes Product Quality: Well Made Frequency Used: Dozens of times Length of Ownership: 1 year or less Ability: Beginner It's a great product someone who likes eggs but has issues using the stove top.

After it was done added in shredded cheese & ate avocado on the side :) Thank you! 02/11/2018 This a great, fast and easy way to make a single egg in the morning.

I sprayed the mug with oil first, as I've made these before, and it sticks a bit if I don't add the oil. My microwave only takes 60 seconds for mine to be perfect.

Besides what's in the recipe itself after cooking I added salt and a half slice of thin cheddar jack (?) It tasted pretty good.

1 TBSP water can be substituted for the milk if you don’t do dairy. I add seasoning and grated cheese before cooking so it’s not all on top.

Microwave 45 sec, stir, then 45 more. I lightly sprayed Pam on the inside of the mug I used 2 eggs 1 tbsp of milk added garlic salt and pepper whipped it up and did 90 seconds in the microwave and it was perfect had plenty of flavor I'm a spicy lover, so I added tobacco.

You can do just about anything with this tho add some cheese avocado and crumbles of bacon on top. My kids liked it too cuts down on mess and much faster.

Not saying I'll never make eggs on the stove again but in a pinch or looking for a quick breakfast this is it. I used three eggs and added spinach and a few of my own spices.

The eggs were nice and fluffy, and they definitely don't get cold quickly in the mug. The one complaint is that the mug doesn't come clean in the dishwasher.

The first time it stuck to the sides of the mug. The second time I sprayed the mug with non-stick spray and that seemed to release the eggs from the side of the mug.
