There are no isolators in this cabinet for either the hot or cold feed for the mixer tap. The blue cold water isolator is the supply for a domestic appliance, probably a dishwasher or washing machine.
It’s a kinda rubbery push fit, maybe been fine for years but, I just don’t trust them without a clamp We bought the house from a lovely old lady who, it seems, was the victim of a bunch of cowboys.
I can't say we've necessarily found bad smells, but can you tell me the preferable trap to use? OK, so having bought a couple of isolator valves (and a jubilee clip for the dishwasher waste pipe), I've now found that both the flex hose and the isolator valve have male ends on.
Then as Dave said above,a short piece of copper pipe goes into the ISO,with olive and nut,and the Flex goes on the other end of the bit of copper pipe with another olive and nut. Swirl Sink-Mounted Mono MixerKitchen Tap Brushed Nickel is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 13.

It is very important that the products you choose to have the correct pressure for your water system if you are to achieve the best performance from your new taps. Buying a kitchen sink mixer that functions correctly is not always as simple as it first seems, being that the kitchen mixer or tap is the most used appliance in the house it is critical that the correct product is purchased for the type of plumbing system that you have if you are not sure what water pressure you have then you may want to use our Identify Your Water System pages to help you understand your system before choosing your new Kitchen taps and mixers.
Be careful what you buy as it's the type of thing you want to install then not have to come back to for years rather than have to mess around and replace in 6 months. We just finished referring our house, we ended up with “France” sink but the tap we wanted wasn't available in stock to get to us in time so a screw fix job, and we are well impressed.
We went for the single mono mixer Product Code: 21923 about £50 As stated in previous post it's the materials that degrade.
Don't forget about wanting to put a plastic bucket in the sink. I know absolutely nothing about this stuff so I'm just leaving it to the plumber, hopefully he'll get it all correct. Thanks again guys, much appreciated.
' My opinions expressed here do not represent those of the Forums or its associated websites '. Only the bathroom ones show any sign of wear, so I'd say Grove or France. The Grove stuff I have was bought in a German DIY store not unlike B&Q for a fraction of the price we pay.
This is because they were using mixer taps years ago, so you couldn't even buy separate taps. Although mixers are very common, multi feed taps weren't and Abode do some really nice ones.
There is also a place in Kings Langley that basically makes them in any style you want but couldn't do multi feed taps for us, so we had to leave it. Although mixers are very common, multi feed taps weren't and Abode do some really nice ones.

Sink ringers must have a cat 3 non-return valves fitted to stop contamination of water supply... Some are also fed from a separate tank...It's best to go the Was approved route for such taps and design... We need to replace our kitchen tap (single hole mixer) and will try to have a look at these as well.
